 Yale from avalanche trailhead

Add your trip report here...

Hello fellow 14er fanatics. I tried to summit Yale in February and March of this year. It was a disaster all three times. I went alone and camped up in the trees around 11,500' and spent a very cold night with a head injury from a fall earlier that day. Then I tried going up the Denny Gulch side, again too much for this old man.
Well, finally I climbed in August and found one helluva a site at the summit. So I put together a little video of the year I spent on Yale. I/'ll leave a link for anyone daring enough to sit through it. I don't take myself serious so if you like silly stuff, enjoy.

I particularly liked the video - kind of a 'Fear and Loathing on Yale' perspective. Head digger looked 'unfun'. Well done video!

I know some people were put off by the F-bombs in your Crestones/Humboldt epic multi-segment video, but they kept me watching. Maybe it's because I'm from Jersey and they just gave me warm memories of my childhood. Dunno.
I love the Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World clips in this one. That is one of the best movies of all time. Supremely entertaining with cameos from everybody who was anybody in Hollywood up to the 60s.
Anyway...good stuff in a twisted way. Love it.

Congratulations on completing Yale and a great, fun video. You definitely have some film making talent. I didn't come across that ”Reading Room” on the Yale's ridge, but I'm glad you did!
