Class 3-4ish... I rock climbed a lot in college, but Im not really much of a trad leader at this point.

I also spend a lot of time off of the peaks just hiking and backpacking!
Accomplishments:
I prefer to think of these as memories, rather than accomplishments:


Coldest: Mount Washington, NH... January

Hottest: Some unknown peak, NV... July

Highest: Mount Elbert

Lowest: Death Valley

Most crowded: Longs Peak on Labor Day weekend, 1998

Dumbest: Foolishly late start on Elbert ten years ago (1st 14er). Hail and lightning in a way I had never seen it before.


Favorite places:

-Maroon Bells Wilderness (4 passes loop)
-Escalante National Monument (any slot canyon)
-The Olympic Coast, WA
-RMNP; crowded... but so many good spots!
Goals:
Some of these dreams/goals are more ambitious than others:

-All 14ers
-Denali
-Aconcagua
-Waialeale (Kauai, Hawaii)
-Rainier (winter)
My Gear List:
Ive got a gear room in my house... but at least I am not collecting cats or hubcaps! Besides, I can quit whenever I want :)


My favorite pieces of gear:

-Trangia Westwind Stove (my pick 9 times out of 10 over my fancier and more expensive stoves).

-Western Mountaineering Puma SDL sleeping bag... Saved my butt from freezing more than once in extreme cold.

-My ten year old no-name brand trekking poles. I bought these back when nearly every hiker still asked: "why do you have ski poles with you?". They work, but Im due for an upgrade!
