It's stuff like this that makes you realize what a great community and a tight "family" the 14ers.com folks really are. Good job everyone ! The CFI does some outstanding work on the peaks, and it's nice to give them something in return.

I've always wondered who helps maintain the trails on those mountains. Now I know. That's great they won the Toyota. I think it would be fun to be a volunteer for them, but it's hard enough to get out there just once a year. It goes to show you that your vote does count. Unless, it is for a good politician who makes sense and all, but looses anyway. Then it makes me wonder.

Thank you everyone for your support! We at CFI are really excited to have a new Toyota truck to help shuttle tools, volunteers, and staff to remote 14er trailheads to get valuable trailwork and restoration projects done. It is fun to see all the votes and promotion coming from the 14ers.com community - you guys are true friends of ours! Also, a huge thanks goes to Bill Middlebrook, and all of our corporate and non-profit partners who voted and helped spread the word. =D> Thank you, and see you in the hills!

Pretty cool.
I remember meeting the former CFI field director, John Giordenango, at a few trailheads. He'd show up in his little 80's toyota truck. He put a lot of rough miles on that one!

Do you suppose Alzheimers North Carolina lost because they forgot to vote?

Congrats to CFI; they'll no doubt put it to good use!

I've been going back to vote for others. Perhaps we can all vote for the organizations similar to the ones the CFI had to compete against in future contests?
