Early Festivus Thread - The Airing Of Grievances

Postby DeucesWild » Thu Nov 17, 2011 11:00 am

Almost that magical time of year, Festivus, http://festivusweb.com/. Time for the airing of grievances.

Here's what's on my list this year:

-Spitters! Hate having to dodge loogies on the trail. Pertains more to paved trails than 14ers, but still.
-Sucking up to Bill or please like "Bill, could you please delete this thread".
-People who ask how far it is to the top. You'll know when you get there.

What's on your list this year?
Snowflakes, Uber Alles!

People that take a dump right next to a trail/trailhead and think because they put a little rock over it that it's ok. Most of the time there's paper sticking out from under it too.

Pretty foul and inconsiderate.

I'd like to add this one to my list also. Nasty. One time I was coming down the Mt. Antero road (near 11,500') and came up on a dude crapping in the middle of the 4WD road! Seriously, in the middle of the road. Paper galore :-&

Yes, #1 grievance would be "steaming cairns" on the trail, I have even seen them on the summits of both Sneffels and Wetterhorn. The Wetterhorn one was right at the top of the summit pitch to the point that the person who left it must have had their hind-end hanging over the standard route while committing the deed, I hope no one from below had the displeasure of catching them in the act :-&

- Colorado drivers or anyone else driving in Colorado
- The now over used pointless phrases such as:
..........."I know, right?"
..........."Just sayin' "
..........."Really?"... (in that way that people now say it).

I feel much better now.
