PowerBar Big Easy Snowshoe Race

Postby summitrunner » Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:57 pm

Hello 14ers.com Members!

I am the race director for the PowerBar Big Easy Snowshoe Race and the Colorado High School Snowshoe State Championships 5K. Saturday, 2/9 at 10:00 AM, runners from all over the state and the country will line up in snowshoes to take on the freshies that have fallen at Summit High School (between Frisco and Breck). The PowerBar Big Easy is a 10K/2K Run/Walk, and the CO HS Snowshoe State Championship is a 5K race geared towards high school runners and teams. Both the 10K (adults) and the 5K (under 20) are qualifiers for the US Snowshoe National Championships being held in Bend, OR this year. The races are open to anyone: the elite, weekend warrior, casual runner, hiker, and novice.

The race is a fundraiser for the SHS Girls' Rugby Team (5-Peat State Champions) as they gear up for Nationals. Your entry into the race will get you a goody bag, tech-t-shirt, post race chili lunch, PowerBar snacks, and entry for the world famous door prizes. Awards for adults only in the 10K, and high schoolers only in the 5K. No awards for the 2K. The 10K is two loops of the 5K course around the Farmers Korner area surrounding SHS. Sign up at http://www.runningguru.com/EventInformation.asp?eID=4290

The race is $30 for adults and $25 for students (including college students). There is a 14% discount for all 14ers.com members. Us the discount code: 14ers.com

Thanks for your support! Let me know if you have questions.
