Yeah, I posted that yesterday in the "Where is the SNOW!!!" thread. But I can see how it would be missed with 14 pages. Regardless, it's pretty amazing.its_not_a_tuba wrote:Mt Shasta is expecting between 176" - 218" of snow over 4 days!

That forecast is pretty darn amazing. Unreal amounts of snow. That will never happen in Colorado, heck we are barely getting clouds. Hopefully we can squeeze a few inches in the next week. Everyone depends on it.

Looks like that forecast has been seriously backed off.

Re: For those of you looking for snow
Tonight's forecast is still pretty other-worldly.
"Windy" indeed.Windy, with a south southwest wind 80 to 90 mph increasing to 105 to 115 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 29 to 35 inches possible.

Re: For those of you looking for snow
Having spent significant time on both, I still defend the opinion that Shasta is a close 2nd to the most extreme weather on a big peak in the lower 48. Like Rainier, when it's good it's good, but when it is bad, you might was well be in Alaska.Jim Davies wrote:Tonight's forecast is still pretty other-worldly."Windy" indeed.Windy, with a south southwest wind 80 to 90 mph increasing to 105 to 115 mph after midnight.
