Suggestions for Jackson Hole

Post by Willifitz »

I'm heading to Jackson the week of May 19 and have a free Wednesday. I've never been there. Any suggestions on how to fill my day.

Rivers will be too muddy for fishing. Wildlife viewing photography...ton of moose on Gros Ventre River. Sunrise at Moulton Barn or Schwabacher Landing. Hiking - Head up Garnett Canyon or Cascade Canyon or around Jenny Lake to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. Cruise up to Yellowstone to see Old Faithful. Should be plenty of snow for ski mountaineering (I'll be out there a couple weeks after to do so). Bike ride - Teton Pass is a hell of a ride (and descent!). That should get you started.
