Gannett Peak in early Sept

Post by AlexeyD »

Planning a trip to Gannett over Labor Day weekend. Probably from the Pinedale side, though haven't quite decided yet. Has anyone been up there this late in the season, and can comment on what to expect? Specifically interested in 1) the state of the bergscrund, and 2) snow conditions in general (should we expect it to be bulletproof? Any need for ice screws/tools)?

Thanks in advance!
