Looks like i will go explore jones park some more and then Cheyenne canyon. I wanted to climb Rosa a while back but Old Stage closure was a slight issue. Not anymore!

Mt Rosa gets big drifts in winter in a few places if you climb it via St Mary's Falls. One spot is about four miles in while following the creek around 10K'; another is the summit cone's north side above 11K'. There's a south ridge to the summit that you can bushwack up from the 4wd road that comes from Wye (on Gold Camp Road) that would have less snow. I've used snowshoes on the St Mary's route a few times, and they're pretty necessary in a normal year from about December to May. The other North Cheyenne Canyon/Bear Creek trails are pretty low and generally accessible with only some traction aid.
