Hiking to Blue Lakes

Post by jm665 »

Just a quick question.....If one were to hike to the Lower Blue Lakes by Mt. Sneffels, which trailhead would be best "and shortest" to start from. I dont know much abou the area or the length of the hike to the lakes. I know that Sneffels is reachable from the lakes and thought this would be a great area to set up a "basecamp" for a week of hiking in the area. Any thought or past experience would be welcome.
Thanks, Jeff
