sawtooth ridge in winter

Post by tobe945 »

For anyone who has done the sawtooth traverse between Bierstadt and Evans, in which direction is the traverse more aesthetically pleasing and technically challenging?

The Summit Lake trailhead is closed in winter--what is the best access for such a climb?

The routes I was interested on Evans were The Snave, North Face, or West Ridge.
On Bierstadt really only interested in the East Ridge.

This thread does a nice job of discussing the issue of direction over the sawtooth:

Search around on the forums a bit as there are lots of good posts that may help to answer your questions.
