Fishing

I am just wondering if there are fish in either Willow Lake or Lake Como if so is the fishing like at Snowmass Lake?

I doubt the fishing would be as good as Snowmass. Emersom bigguns.

I havent been fishing in either, but when we went to Lake Como there was a couple who had caught a stringer of 6 good-sized trout for their dinner. There were others we had talked to who had also caught fish there with some ease. As to Willow Lake, there was a guy fishing there on our climb up to the lake who said he had caught (and released) four big trout.

We fished both Willow lake and Lake Como this summer. At Willow Lake at the end of June, all we saw was 1 dead fish in the water. We didn't even see a ripple on the lake from a fish. Others said they didn't get any either. At Lake Como the first week of August, it was good fishing. We caught and released several 8-10 inch trout. We were at Capitol Lake and Snowmass Lake in early Sept. We did not fish but talked to a couple guys who had caught some nice trout in Capitol Lake. They both agreed that Snowmass was the best for fishing. They had just come from there and said they caught quite a few nice size trout. As we walked along Snowmass Lake we could see the trout swimming around.

Lake Como is full of fish as are the upper lakes (at least to the tree line). Panther Martin spinners - black with yellow dots, gold spoon. Yellow with red dots, silver spoon. Both work pretty well. Silver Kastmaster spoons work well also.

word is, "damn near" every lake out there has fish in it, except those that are shallow enough to freeze solid in the winter.
