Sangre Snow

Post by traderaaron »

Just thought I would mention that the Sangres have now picked up close to 2 feet of snow in March, at least around S. Colony.

Sorry, just monitoring the weather closely and snotel readings, no TR. This is the most significant single period of snow they have had all winter though.

Wonder if Humboltd is ready for a ski descent yet or if the winds have taken care of the snow. :-k

I was wondering the same but it appears from the most recent TR from anna that the winds have swept the snow as seen in one of her photos of the East Ridge.

Yeah, but I think most all of the 2 ft fell after they were there, looking at the timing of the storm. So there may be a chance. [-o<

(I am trying to justify the trip to myself :D )

It's too bad they didn't look like this on Saturday.

That is the fullest blanket of snow, I've seen in the Sangres. That is a awesome vantage point.

Thanks for posting that.

The snow fell y'day and o/n, precip. values from the radar were over 1" for the prior 24 hours, that would equate to at least 10-12" of snow, probably more. Snotel is showing 22" increase from March 3 reading.
