Elbert snow conditions

Post by jobrien4 »

Has any climbed Elbert in the last few days and seen the snow conditions on the Box Couloirs? Is there enough snow to climb?

I was up there last week. Elbert has enough snow to climb box creek. Massive has quite a bit of snow on it as well.

Climbed the box couloirs on 6\8 and the snow was in great shape all the way up. There was continuous snow all the way up to the summit. However, make sure you get on route early as they will soften quickly when the sun hits them.
