Thanks! Sounds great.herdbull wrote:I was just up there yesterday things are looking pretty good but wet. There's one small section of about 50 feet at the most on the Ave. that an axe would be handy. Crampons are not needed and you could get across the snow without an axe but you might as well carry it.
I would imagine that snow will be there for about another week. The toughest part of the climb is probably gaining the north ridge. Tons of water running everywhere making the rocks, grass and trails slick. They were also a bit icy in the morning.

This is great news, I was strongly thinking about switching to other mountains but I feel a lot better now! Herdbull, do you have any pics of the avenue snow that you could share?

Sounds great, I'm assuming it was the north ridge you climbed? Just trying to determine if I should take that up or just head up the standard route. Thanks!

I did the combo from Challengers north slope which is route #1 or the standard route in the routes section. It didn't appear that the snow routes were totally in. There has been some significant melt off.jwagner wrote:herdbull wrote:I was just up there yesterday things are looking pretty good but wet.
