Pick up "Flatiron Classics" by Gerry Roach. I know it's two hours away in Boulder, but every route in that book is 5.7 or under. He tells you what you can walk off of, which rocks you'll need a rope to rappel off of, and several variations. Tons of stupid fun scrambles all over the place. And while you might be in Boulder, it doesn't feel civilization if you venture off the trail and hit some of the lesser known crags. It can feel like you're a hundred miles from civilization without another sound or soul in sight, and the possibilities for low class 5 scrambling are absolutely endless. It's hard to beat scrambling in the Flatirons.

You also become well acquainted with Roach's very open interpretation of what a downclimb is haha.

Also, beware the Roach "5.4"... :wft:. I believe I watched Brian C pull off a fist jam of some sorts on the finger flatiron. Its not 5.4 if you're not fist jamming is what I have always said.
