Break for south Wilson?

Post by Mark81-gd »

I'm coming in from kilpacker to do el diente. Was wondering if I can get to South Wilson from there? And wondering what class and exposure I might find? Thx!

Yes you can definitely climb South Wilson from Kilpacker Basin. Check out globreal's TR. I'd say it's class 2+, with a very unstable gully (with "dinner plates" as Britt calls 'em). I took a video of ChrisinAZ in this gully and included it in my TR if you're interested. It's a sweet view of Mt. Wilson from up there! Have fun!
