Access to Blanca Basin Possible with Purchase?

Post by painless4u2 »

After seeing the postings about the Bross property for sale, I noticed there are a couple of listings in the "grid" just below (south of) the Blanca Massif:
http://www.cedaredgeproperty.com/listin ... -co-81123/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and: http://www.zillow.com/homes/#/homes/for ... 4_zm/1_fr/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Each are less than $9000 for purchase. These appear to be adjacent to, or possibly part of, the large Arrowhead Ranch which controls access to the Blanca Basin. According to Gerry Roach, Blanca Basin was the historic and easier approach to Little Bear and Blanca Peaks. In fact, there is a 4wd road near these properties which continues directly into the basin.
Here's what I'd like to see happen: If these properties allow freedom of access to the basin, someone or some organization buy one of these, possibly through donations, and enable interested parties to park at this location for gaining free access to these incredible peaks, via the Blanca Basin.
Anyone interested? :mrgreen:

This is certainly interesting! I would love to see easier/legal access from Blanca Basin, although I don't know if I am willing to pay $8500 for it! :)
