These are awesome comments. Thanks everyone! I'll be passing on adding Missouri to it this time around, as I do want to enjoy the mountains rather than rushing through them... As far as the standard route or Elkhead pass goes, Elkhead does sound much better, however, given the conditions, might have to pass on it this time around if I go. If I wait to do these mountains later in the season, that'll be the way to go though... Everybody seems in agreement on that part.
