Quandary Conditions

Post by laterallipsis »

Anyone been up the East Ridge on Quandary in the last couple days? The last conditions report was on 4/27 and I'm curious what the weather has done to the trail in the past week and how avy conditions are looking. Might try to go up tomorrow morning.

Thanks!

I was up there yesterday. Seemed fine, but windy enough at 13,000 feet that it was getting hard to see so we decided to turn around. Stay left towards the ridgeline would be my advice. And if you want to ski/snowboard, you might want to make sure you've got a fresh coat of wax. The snow was pretty deep and sticky yesterday. I ended up dragging my snowboard back down, which was sort of annoying...
