I might have missed something here, but the little I know about Jim Davies includes him summiting all the 14ers, some of which were done during a battle with cancer.

Pull your head out of your ass OP.

Same person or is it general troll procedure to start with "Hi/Hey everyone!"?
Ahh, the Sapphire & Cris thread. That was great entertainment!!!

Haha. Just saw this gem. Guess his post on SP didn't get the attention he was looking for so he set up camp over here.

online comment sections and forums are full of people who are online sitting at a computer or staring at the cell phone....Yes people will be "salty"
think about it...the people on 14ers.com would probably rather be outside on a mountain then be on a computer... so when they are one the computer, they might be in a bit of a bad mood since they are NOT on a mt.

drama.... everyone needs to go outside and relax! (myself included! Being inside too much gets me crazy)

Chris - Go for it. I think it is impressive when someone climbs all the 14ers. And it would definitely give you more Mt Cred then people who haven't climbed all these wonderful mountains! and as you mentioned, you aren't looking for a spot on Oprah.... but wow what if you took Oprah to each summit? Maybe she would give you a new car for each peak you reach!

oh and doing all the mountains naked would be totally awesome but very frightening.... I would do it naked but I would carry a pack with clothes and supplies just in case...

Or what if you do all the peaks while wearing a giant tyrannosaurus rex costume... someone did the ninja warrior course in one!

Has anyone ever taken a hot air balloon to any summits? That would be worth watching from below

How about doing fear factor style summit attempt and only eat bugs while summit-ting...
.....

Also, to the rest of the group.... I think Chris is just looking for a way to support himself and others while living his ideal lifestyle.... sometimes that requires "cred" to get a big enough following to support your en-devours. Now should someone just look for fame and be a tool in doing so? f**k that. Should people automatically hate anyone who starts a thread by saying Hi everyone? Chill out! But I think most people would love to be able to pay their bills while walking around on mountains (that sounds exactly like being a professional guide....)
There will always be haters....

(all these ideas are just ideas....horrible ideas...... but funny to think about.... please don't eat me alive online community! I eat a lot of bitter greens so my body will not taste nice and I am rather thin and bony).

Meanwhile I will continue to be that midwesterner coming from illinois that has a go pro, camera, and subaru (I feel CO Natives shaking at the thought)..... I know I look like a dork and not many people will ever see my videos or pictures, give me free gear, or money for reaching summits.... but my Moms knees are really bad so I enjoy being able to share the experience with her via film/photography. And when my friends ever want to get offline and actually do something real and interact with something real (a mountain is very real....more real then that cat meme or fantasy football team - now I pissed some people off....salty) then it is great to share my experience with them....so that as they are learning they have some support (oops I forgot my gloves, tent, extra socks, food, etc) so they dont have to learn the hard way (pain)

alright im hungry.... im out

Darn, he deleted all of his "good" posts. :(

Oh well, we'll file this one.
