Looking 4 experienced climber on diff class 3 and 4 14ers

Post by VanHelsing206 »

My family and I are working on a very meaningful, personal project on the 14ers (that's not altering them in any way of course). And are somewhat concerned about route finding and protecting our lives while climbing the more difficult class 3 and class 4 mountains. We would be incredibly grateful if we could develop contacts with some experienced mountaineers who would be interested in climbing some of the 7 or so most difficult climbs with us and help us achieve a cool goal (which I'd elaborate on in a private message). We're pretty fast and relatively well conditioned climbers, generally the only breaks we take before the summit are to shed layers and maybe take an energy shots and such. Would love any reply!

I wouldn't describe myself as an experienced mountaineer, but I've climbed a few of the hardest peaks and I'm really interested in the Elks this summer. I also really enjoy leading and want to continue to hike a lot of class 3/4 routes. Let me know if you're interested in coordinating.

Hi,

Will be doing 10 - 12 routes this season, half of which are 3rd / 4th class. However, won't be in Colorado till early September. Maybe that works with your schedule? My schedule will be wide open and only subject to weather conditions. I plan on hiking /climbing both Bells, "S" ridge of Snowmass, SW Ridge of Sneffels, Mt. Wilson & El Diente and a few others. Will consider repeats. I'm older than dirt and not as fast as I used to be but still manage to levitate my way up. I also have a bit of experience.

Regards,
Walt

I have some time the next couple of weeks and could join you on some of the class 3s and 4s. Which ones are you thinking?
