Tour de Abyss GPX Tracks
Got my GPS figured out. Does anyone have GPX tracks for the Tour de Abyss Bierstadt E Ridge/Sawtooth/Evans combo? Thanks!

If you can't find a Tour-only gpx line, you can always put together two gpx files from the site: The east ridge plus the Sawtooth/Combo.

Re: Tour de Abyss GPX Tracks
Thanks, Bill! Good idea
Thanks, Jon! How long did it take you to do, and what pace would you say you're at? I'm a pretty fast hiker, but I'm doing it with my girlfriend. She's in decent shape, but not quite as quick. I'm thinking we'll leave the Springs at 3 or 3:30, and hopefully start hiking at 5 or 5:30. (6 at latest?) One TR said it took them 4.5 hours, another said 7 hours, so I think 5 or 6 am might be okay.

Re: Tour de Abyss GPX Tracks
I've done it three times it's so much fun. Every time we've done it, we averaged 5-6 hours. We hiked a fast pace with limited breaks. Usually starting around 5am but 2 out of 3 times was in late June.
Variables that can slow people down would be comfort on class 3, route finding, physical conditioning, and weather. I'd think most people take 6-8 hours to round trip. Also, you're above tree line the whole time, so be weather aware.
Have fun and enjoy this stellar route.

Re: Tour de Abyss GPX Tracks
Did the Abyss route yesterday. It took 3:30 to get from TH to Bierstadt, spent an hour on Bierstadt, 2:45 from Bierstadt to Evans, (7:10 TH to Evans, 6:10 TH to Evans without Bierstadt break), 20 min on Evans, and then 30 min from Evans to the TH. So ~7 hours nonstop TH to TH, and about 8:15 with all breaks TH to TH.
Here's my tracks
