Not sure how much vertical cliff you need, I think this is about 250 feet and then another 750 of steep slope. There are lots of obscure cliffs in the vicinity of Gunnison that might fit the bill. A lot of the peaks in the Cimarron Range and around Uncompahgre have big vertical faces.

Hmm...it seems like it could be argued that this implies that the "parasail or parachute" is dropped from an aircraft, in which case base jumping would be exempt.
I read it as the BLM/FS is including a parachute as a type of aircraft.

West face of the prow on Kit Carson is a monstrous +500 ft face that probably hasn't ever seen a FA. It's classic crestone conglomerate, definitely overhung in more than one spot, and most of all difficult to protect.

A lot of the northeast-facing cliffs in the Sangres are near vertical. The NE sides of Venable/Spring, 13054 (groundhog basin - I'd probably put my money on this one), 13153 (above N Crestone lake), 13546 (S crestone lake), come to mind. Some terrain around the crestones/KC (both sides of the prow, off the N side of KC, E side of Challenger, E side of Crestone Needle, NW side of N Crestone) may also be really steep.

But these are far from the gores. And are they vertical enough to jump off? I haven't really paid attention before, but, I doubt it. And you probably wouldn't like where you landed in many cases.

What about the Black Canyon? National Park is out?

I'll be sure to check out those peaks! The Sangres was one of the areas that I immediately thought looked possible. This diving board looking thing on the traverse and east crestone too.

Was having a discussion with a friend on the height of the dropoff of the diving board (Pyramid Peak).
Does anyone have any idea what the vertical is off that cliff ?

You could almost do the east side of Peak C in the Gores. Maybe.
