Info on Mt. Elbert
Does anyone have some recent info on trail conditions for Mt. Elbert? The last update I saw was from mid September...Any info would be appreciated
Re: Info on Mt. Elbert
Elbert was nice and dry when I flew over it on Sep 27th, sure it's seen some fresh snow since then.

Re: Info on Mt. Elbert
I did Elbert on Sunday. Here is video on my Instagram account. https://instagram.com/p/BLE3qmDjeWT/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Conditions were great. We got a dusting last night in Breckenridge above 11k, with more expected Thursday. The standard route has plenty of sun exposure and should be in good condition over the next week.

Saturday, from French. No snow at all.

Fantastic! Thanks for the info everyone!
Re: Info on Mt. Elbert
There was a bit of snow yesterday from yesterday's storm. It was pretty much just above treeline with a light dusting in the trees that has probably melted out. The storm stopped at Elbert, there was nothing on Massive or Oklahoma going north. This is looking at the south side of Elbert and was taken from Quail. Sorry for the poor quality. I had to zoom in a bit and crop.

Re: Info on Mt. Elbert
Thanks for posting this question, hilo21. I'm headed there this weekend and was wondering the same thing.
My newbie question: will I need microspikes on Elbert this Saturday? I'm planning to use the standard Northeast Ridge route.
Thanks!

Re: Info on Mt. Elbert
I always carry micros this time of year just in case. Sometimes I need them, sometimes I don't.
