Just a heads up, the Junkins Wildfire is burning near Wetmore. Highway 96 from Wetmore to Westcliffe has been shut down all week due to the active fire. Officials are trying to re-open it. Be aware if you are travelling that direction to the Sangres. An alternate route is Highway 50 West thru Canon City to Texas Creek, then south on 69 to Westcliffe.
