Fort Collins/Poudre Canyon

Post by cliffrojo »

I will be in Fort Collins area this weekend looking for a Class 3 or so summit. Was thinking about Richtoven and trying to loop around to Nokhu Crags, but I am not sure if this is even possible.

Anyone have any suggestions on this area or possibly somewhere else that I can keep my "mountain " legs under me for this weekend?

Thanks

I'll be up there with Kevin Baker on Saturday. We're planning the Richthofen-Mahler traverse, though I wouldn't mind running over and hitting Static and checking out the ridge to Nokhu. If you're up for class 3 to possibly low 5th on loose rock, you're more than welcome to join us. Not sure of our start time yet, but I think we'll be camping out up there Friday night so an early start is possible.

I live in Fort Collins and you're welcome to ride up with me if you'll be in town.

Thanks for the offer - actually looking at Sunday (40th B-day party for college buddy friday night), but I'll check out the mahler traverse as well.
