Also, here is your track with the winter cutoff drawn in black. Looks like you would have eventually hit the trail again if you kept going. :D

Oh ok. In our case we hiked in against a 50mph headwind with tons of windblown snow. Might have invented a new technique, where I was hiking backwards with my brother in my windshield yelling left or right to me.
