Mt. Rosa and St. Mary's Falls Conditions

Post by jsdratm »

Has anyone been up to St. Mary's Falls and/or Mt. Rosa from North Cheyenne Canon in Co. Springs recently? I was wondering if the road and trail are in good enough shape after the recent flooding since I haven't been down in that area for a year or so. I know that the trails near Jones Park are mostly closed for other reasons.

The upper gold camp road is in good shape, to the trailhead. I haven't been up MT, Rosa since summer, so can't say for sure. But I have been up seven bridges/Bear creek/jones park, and the trails are in great shape. You can't even tell there was flooding. I was up to 10,500' In north cheyenne canyon this past weekend, and there is about a foot of snow, and more where it is wind drifted.

Have fun!!!

We hiked St Mary's Falls on January 25th. At that time, it was mostly snow-packed, but no accumulation. There's been a bit of snow since then, of course. No flood damage. I put some pictures on the fotp Facebook here.
