@summitstep - where is that exactly? I grew up there hiking all over the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (back when it was just the lowly Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area) but never "bagged" the highpoint that I can recall.

Brian, it is on Broadview Rd in Richfield, just about two miles north of Broadview Hts.

I went up the trail behind my house in lone tree and took a picture of what I am talking about.
That'd be Devil's Head!
it only looks like a devil from the west side, I think, :-k never have figured it out exactly. but yeah, that is devils head, quite visible most everywhere south of Denver. quite a few cool low peaks in that area. There should also be a list of the best low peaks, although that might get too long.

Yeah......sigh....... Spent some time there (been on top of Grays and Torreys) and long to be back. That's what made me remember this sign. Every time I drive by that lousy sign I remember great times up high and with my sons to share. THAT Summit County is what i want to trade for. For now I'm stuck in the flats and living through all your trip reports. So climb on and pity the lowlanders! :(

Dan, if you haven't been there yet you should check out Lost Creek Wilderness. It's relatively close to the Springs (60-70 miles), and has lots of interesting rocky peaks. Bison Peak is unique. It's not a county HP, but it is the high point in the range and the wilderness area.

Bison Peak in the LCW might not be, but Buffalo Peak IS the county highpoint of Jefferson CO.

Thanks for the tip, that looks neat mountain, I forgot it was on my list. An easy dayhike from the springs it appears.
