Surely Bryce is insanely cold in April though?

Been to both Zion and Bryce in April, both are pretty nice. Obviously Bryce could be a bit chilly up at the higher elevations, but was rather nice in late April.

If you have the time I would hit Zion, Bryce AND Capitol Reef. The drive via highway 12 is really scenic and relaxing, but that would be pretty far away from where you are coming from.

go to the Parkhouse Cafe for breakfast, then hike angel's landing in Zion. Definitely one of those must do hikes.

Zion with hiking the Narrows. Nothing else compares! Start early before everyone else and have the canyon to yourself!
