13ers.com Photos

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Thu Jan 07, 2010 3:58 pm

I've been adding photos and functionality to 13ers.com, but I'm missing quite a few close 13er photos. If you'd like to add one, I'm sure many people would appreciate it. I know I certainly would! These are single photos on the individual peak stats page, not the peak/group photo pages, which will be expanded in the future.

Important: If you upload a photo, it does NOT become the property of 13ers.com or 14ers.com. It's still your pic and there's a pic management page in case you want to delete it or make caption edits.

On the individual peak pages (only the FRONT RANGE at this time), I've activated a link to upload photos and here's a list of peaks for which I don't have good photos:

Front Range 13ers: (other ranges to be added soon)
"Dicker`s Peck" (13140')
Alice, Mt (13310')
Arikaree Pk (13150')
Flora, Mt (13146')
Geneva Pk (13266')
Isolation Pk (13118')
Keyboard of the Winds (13820')
Kiowa Pk (13276')
Landslide Pk (13238')
Niwot Ridge (13023')
Ogalalla Pk (13138')
Powell Pk (13208')
Rowe Mtn (13184')
Rowe Pk (13420')
Santa Fe Pk (13180')
Sullivan Mtn (13134')
Taylor Pk B (13153')

Upload Page

Once I finish with changes to the other ranges, I'll expand the upload past the Front Range.

Sweet.
Looks good - I may have to adjust the internal sharpening process when the photo gets uploaded. Also, the upload saves a larger (1600x1200) version for future use/links.

Thanks a lot!!

I had seven of them. Well, seven that I could identify without further research. 13ers is looking sharp.

Paiute, North Arapaho, South Arapaho, "Old Baldy", Eva, Navajo and Apache.

Just enabled the ELKS, GORES and SANGRES in the add-a-photo list. I'm missing a lot of the unnamed 13ers in the Elks and plenty of 13ers in the Sangres. For most of them, I have distant shots, but would like to have close-ups on the site.

Upload a Photo to a 13er Stats Page

I'll enable the Sawatch and San Juans portion in a few days.

Thanks again to anyone that uploads a photo! I really appreciate it.

Added photos for some Elk range peaks.

BTW, UN 13,260 is also known as Golden Tops and UN 13,232 is known as Cassi (Cassi is even labeled on my lat40 map)

Thanks for doing this, there should be some great eye candy once most of these peaks have photos!

Added a few individual peak page photos for Santa Fe, Sullivan, Geneva and Landslide. Will add some others in the coming days.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help!!

I'm behind on adding the Sawatch/San Juan upload capability but I did get a bunch of new 13ers.com photo-page functionality out there this weekend. Soon we will be able to upload photos to the 13er photo pages, not just the individual peak/stat pages.

Added a bunch of Gore, let me know if you want closer shots of some of the ones you posted, I have a bunch more I could post.

Added: East Partner, Palomino, Peak C, Peak X, Solitude and Valhalla.

Edit -

Also added Eagle A and Medano to the Sangres. Same offer as above, I have some others closer than your shots if you are interested.
