Grey's/Torrey's water source?

Postby KsClimber » Thu Jul 05, 2012 2:23 pm

I am taking a group up the Steven's Gulch trail to Grey's Torrey's later this month. My topo map shows two water sources and a stream in the area. Is this correct?

Secondly, is there much room for tents at the Steven's Gulch trailhead?

Thanks,

Monte
I would love to live up on this mountain and keep the pain of living life so far away.
But I know I can't stay up on the mountain.

Your information is correct. Once past 2 miles (est.) there are no water sources so be sure to bring plenty up. The last good water source is right before the saddle between kelso and torreys peak where you will spot on old mine shaft and building on your right side.

There are plenty of camping spots, but be sure to get there early as this is an extremely busy hike.
