I`m so sorry for your loss.
There are no peaks in this part of Texas but I`ll run this weekend`s 20 miler in Chris` memory.
Run far, climb high.

I hiked Crestone Peak and Humbolt Peak last weekend. For me the most magical experience was around 6:30 am when the sun rose through the distant eastern horizon and struck the Crestones with a warm light. Both my hiking partner and i stopped for about 10 minutes on the slopes of Humbolt overlooking the valley and witnessed a beautiful light show...at first deep pinks and then glowing to yellow. Then suddenly the sun filtered through a cloud on the horizon and the miracle of light suddenly went to the dull normalcy that we usually see mountains with. There is a magic moment and oh that we would stop to appreciate it because it is so brief and fleeting.

I donated $50 to the Custer County S&R in Chris and Rob's memory. May you find strength.

We did not have a sign with us but had special thoughts for both (Rob and Chris) on our summit to Capitol Pk. last weekend. May they rest in peace.
