Certainly glad there was a window for the rescue operation. Sounds like a nasty fall. Hope he's doing better and will heal quickly!

Wow…unconscious but breathing. Sounds like if he recovers, it will be because one, Robert was with a partner, and two, that partner was prepared with a SPOT.

You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. I was confused by the first name, but this is actually a member of our forum. He is a good man, and I hope he is able to make a full recovery.

Thanks for a the support, guys! I'm currently at Craig Hospital and recovering very well. Thank God I was skiing with Kyle that day because his actions saved my life and I had the SPOT device.

I remember hiking out from Snowmass last year while you were hiking up with your skis and setting a blazing pace. You took some amazing photos on that trip. We joined Up for the descent down challenger last year. I remember you took some great photos and set an absolutely brutal pace. Sorry to hear about your accident and my best wishes for a full recovery. Hope to see you in the mountains again and posting some of those trip reports.
