The 14er crowd has been keeping SAR busy lately. Not much info on this one yet.

Uhhh. I could be wrong, but I think that was from last year. :)

The "brace" is a splint he fabricated out of his snowshoes. He's got a long road ahead of him. Major fall...1700'. Hasty team got to him 0430. 18 short lowers to LZ.

I don't think anyone is saying that climbing unranked peaks is easier than ranked peaks.

Every year it seems like there are multiple falls or injuries on that traverse that require SAR, unfortunately some that are fatal. Glad he was safely rescued and will be alright.

Wow, sure enough. I thought it sounded a bit familiar, but that does happen. Still hoping to hear more info about the one from this year.
