Big Bummer!
Where is the Lambs Slide. I did the standard route a couple of weeks ago.

Sad news. Presumably he was attempting the Kieners route.

May he RIP.

Lambs slide starts at the base of the diamond. So, at the trail split where you go right for the boulderfield and left/straight for chasm lake, you head towards chasm lake.

Mountain project had some recent pictures of lambs slide. It was in very icy conditions.

Condolences to the family.

There was a recent trip report that gave great detail on the conditions of Lambs Slide (TLDR: bad)

https://maximilianritter.wordpress.com/ ... nd-a-half/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I must have been on Lambs Slide > 6 times this year, in all sorts of conditions, but nothing like what's shown in that TR's photographs. Recent postings about Lambs Slide conditions have talked about the gear you may have needed, given the Fall conditions:

http://14ers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f= ... 3&p=586044" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm so sad to hear that there has been an accident on Lambs Slide, it's named after an accident itself(!)

I hope we'll be able to hear some more details of the accident to try to learn what lead to it. Sad day on the mountains.

Prayers of comfort and strength for family and friends. May Spencer rest in peace, and may his memory always be a blessing.
