RIP Tom. This is very sad. I never met you, but thanks for leading the way and for the inspiration. We've lost 2 of the 5 Winter finishers in the past 2 years. Seems both may have struggled from similar issues and found comfort in the high mountains of Colorado during the darkest and coldest times of the year. Climb on, Tom. You were first, and that's awesome.
You can touch the void, just don't fall into it.

I fly a starship across the universe divide....and when I reach the other side...I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can. Perhaps I may become a Mountain Man again.

He went where he knew peace. Denied palliation would have been the tragedy.
