Looking for a ride up to Como Lake

Postby shinaroo » Thu Aug 02, 2012 2:54 pm

I am looking for a ride for my gear, not me and my group, up to Lake Como. We will be heading up Saturday, August 11th. Anybody going to be in the area that could accomodate.

Willing to pay for service, of course

It only adds to the experience of bagging those peaks if you have to carry all of your gear with you. :)

amen!

I took a mtn bike up there once...TERRIBLE idea. that road sucked so bad it was hike-a-bike AND all the gear.

I'll be hiking my gear my up there Thu Aug 9th and I'm really not looking forward to it. Maybe there are some local sherpas living in Alamosa or something

A few of us were discussing this at the get together last night (granted, after a beer or three) and it seems like $100 might be enough to entice one of us to hike a full pack up there. It would have to be starting around noon on the 10th.

Unrelated to the OP, but David Boyd's bike is still stashed up there somewhere. Unless someone else has heard it was retrieved...

I'm a sherpa living in the Alamosa area... Haha. But there's no chance my subaru will make it up there, so I'd have to pack it in. And I'll be gone this weekend, so I'd have to do it tomorrow or Friday.
