Breckenridge Jan 12 from Colorado Springs

Postby Abbey » Mon Jan 07, 2013 10:37 am

Is anybody planning to head to Breckenridge from Colorado Springs this Saturday and want to carpool? I can drive or throw in gas money to somebody else. They are supposed to get some snow Friday so it could be a powder day :-D

Great, Zach :-D Let me know your plans as the weekend gets closer and we can set something up.

If I drive I could fit a 3rd person and their gear too.

I was debating between breck and keystone that day, would love to carpool.

I can't fit people and skis in my car but I'll ride along and chip in for gas.

This makes me wonder, is there a good rideshare website for Denver skiers?
I am unable to walk away from the mountain without climbing it. An unclimbed mountain tugs at my consciousness with the eternal weight of time itself. Until I've pressed my face into it's alpine winds, hugged it's ancient granite walls, and put it's weathered summit beneath my heal I'm unable to resist it's attraction.Knowing nature gives the mountain more time than she gives us adds urgency to the obsession. As has been said before; the mountain doesn't care.

It can wait forever. I cannot.

Zack and Buckie06, I'll plan on driving. Do you want to meet around 6am? I live in Mountain Shadows (just north of Garden of the Gods park)... you can meet at my place and leave your cars there or we can meet somewhere in the Old Colorado City/Manitou/Ute Pass area. What works best for you? I'm flexible on time and place.

I live in Old Colorado City. So you could pick me up at the corner of 14th and Bijou or 14th and Pikes Peak. I'll be ready. I might get some looks from people walking down the street in my gear though.

I'm near mountain shadows on Centennial Blvd, if you want to message me your address I'll meet you at your house.
