I can't see it being an issue with access. We haven't gotten any significant snowfall. I have no doubt the road might have some icy/snow patches on it.

Slightly off-topic, but... I've climbed Pikes Peak from both the Barr Trail (in August 1987) and Crags CG (in September 2012), and while the Barr Trail is scenic enough, the elevation gain is brutal. I much preferred the trail from Crags CG, despite the road as you near the summit. Enjoy your climb!

Thanks Mtnman, it's a brutal day on the Barr for sure, be the 1st time on Crags side! I didn't want to do another marathon, sheesh!

Road to the TH was clear except for some minimal packed snow today. A great climb.
