Jones Pass/Butler Gulch
Was hoping to get out for a short trail run tomorrow after work. Anyone know how much snow these areas are holding below treeline? Familiar with them in the winter but not the summer. Thanks!

Re: Jones Pass/Butler Gulch
The Jones Pass road mostly melts out in the normal course of things; however, there is a persistent snowfield at the top of the pass that often lasts through most of the summer.
If you looking for a clear route (i.e. free of snow) all the way to the pass, you're going to be waiting awhile--it's not unheard of for the pass to blocked by snow into August. Granted by then we're talking about a small stretch--probably at most the final 100 feet, if not less--but still.
