Mt Princeton Road
Hey everyone, just wanted to see if I could get some idea of how rough the Mt. Princeton road is. I have a Subaru outback, have no problems with the Grays/Torreys road and have taken it up the South Colony Lakes road to the TH with no problem a few times now. I wanted to get an idea of how far up the Mount Princeton road I'll be able to get so that I can accurately predict my mileage for the day. Any info in comparison to the other two roads I mentioned would be appreciated!
The days I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations, I have really good days.
Re: Mt Princeton Road
Took my '16 Outback up the Princeton road in July. There were two sections that required careful driving, one of which I had my friend spot for me, but I was able to get up to the radio towers. We parked a little ways past them but could have made it up further.
Much harder than the Gray's road. Haven't done the S/C Lakes road.

Did the road in both a 2001 and 2015 Outback with no issues (no spotting required). You can get a little ways past the radio towers. Just keep your eyes open for cars coming down/up as there are not a lot of spots to turn around / pull over.

Re: Mt Princeton Road
I was up there this weekend and I would say that you shouldn't have any trouble getting up to the radio towers and beyond. I saw a Honda Pilot parked at the last switchback before the trail turnoff. I found the road to be significantly easier than I expected based on reports that I've read. Of course, I drive a Jeep so it's all pretty easy
