My wife would literally murder me if I tried to take her AWD Honda Pilot past the first parking spot down in the valley.
Seems like the times that I need a mountain the most are the times that I can not get to them.

Ha, this reminds me, last time we were there we witnessed a bizarre sight.
Someone was driving a brand new Range Rover down Lake Como road. Not only did it have some new "Colorado pinstriping" on the side of it, and a dent in the rear quarter panel, but there was damage to the suspension and one of the rear wheels was being "held on" by an orange nylon strap. Every time the wheel hit a bump it would turn side to side. They were slowly limping the thing down past my truck that I parked at 8,800' area. It still had temp plates.
Life is a mountain, not a beach.

Ha! That could have just been normal Land Rover quality
