The only guy who needed to take a breather longer than me on Capitol (one of the Pierre Lakes in background).

No pictures for my little tale here.
On the south ridge going up Carbonate Mountain,
I saw scores of large bird dropping splashes,
each quite a few inches in diameter.
Thick and wide like a big sloppy paint brush.
I know lots of eagles frequent the area.
I also saw no marmots or pikas all day.
Connection here?
Any ideas??

An inexpensive point and shoot was used, and things were happening real fast, so it's a little fuzzy...but this was the highlight of my day yesterday on California Peak.
