Any updates on the bells? I am hiking from Maroon Lake up(and down) to Snowmass Lake friday-sat. Climbing Snowmass as well. Hoping the colors are still ok!!! Any updates would be appreciated :)

Awesome pictures here. I had some hopes of being westbound last week. But it has been beautiful here in WI and you do have to love the one you're with. The twilight times and the past-full moon of the weekend / early this week were awesome here. Walking the dog to my very local highpoint (the hill behind our barn) has been a pleasure.

Did anyone get what I call the 'cimbing' (waning gibbous) moon - in the mountains of course - with some fall thrown in for a bonus? I'm a sucker for that early AM moonset and that would have been high on my list of beauty.

Thanks to all for the thread.

Maroon Bells will probably be pretty past peak. They were still nice but past peak last Sunday.

I'd go to McClure or Kebler. McClure still had a lot of green on Saturday so I bet that area will be nice this weekend.

Yeah..I think Bells will be past peak. They were at peak about two weeks ago. That will still be a great little trip.
