Things are not looking good. It sounds like the ultimate "Daedalus"-type adventure--is there a moral here?

Yup, 'something' came out the other side, but unfortunately it didn't resemble Comet ISON prior to engaging the star we know as our sun. ;)

It appears that what came out the other side was a cloud of gravel, essentially. Bummer.

ISON may have turned to dust.
But tonight is the peak of the Geminids meteor shower.
