Wow, what lens did you use for that one? Pretty stunning detail.

Re: Wildflowers 2015
Thanks, DJ.
It's an old Canon S95, using the P Macro setting. The limitation is my ability to hold it still because I don't carry a tripod.
I bought that camera five years ago and have worn some of the printing off the case rubbing in my pocket, but other than that it works great.

Beautiful pics.
Does anyone know if the wild flowers on Shrine Pass are going off or is it a few weeks early?

Re: Wildflowers 2015
I took the one below on the road up from Vail Pass to the trailhead at the top. Didn't do any hiking because it rained all day (Wednesday), so can't say what it's like up top, but flowers are out along the road. If I was to guess, I'd say with the slightly drier weather the last couple of days that things should be good up there this weekend, flower-wise.PaliKona wrote:Beautiful pics.

Re: Wildflowers 2015
When is the typical peak time for wildflowers?
Re: Wildflowers 2015
Typically the peak is considered to be mid to late July when the most flower varieties are in bloom. Not sure the exact weekend expected this year, but I've seen some nice flowers for at least a few weeks now. And they'll keep going well into summer.PaliKona wrote:When is the typical peak time for wildflowers?
