Wildflowers 2015

Post by pw »

Seems like it's about time for this summer's thread on wildflowers. Post 'em if you got 'em (wildflower photos that is). I think it's useful to also give the location where the photo was taken. I got nothing, yet.

Any idea how the wildflowers should shape up for the last week of July in the RMNP/Berthoud Pass area? Hoping to get some good ones, but with the heavy late-period precip this year, I'm wondering what to expect.

Thanks!

The Infian Paintbrush that is blooming near Wilkerson Pass right now is unreal. Mostly on the western side, but it's really thick this year w the moisture.

Wow, that's a fantastic shot, Pilgrim. Love the detail and drops of moisture on the flowers.

No one said "Colorado Wildflowers 2015," so here goes.
I was camera-free on a recent trip to Arizona, but the old iPhone got a few good ones...

This was up around the James Peak area, the lakes below it actually. The odd looking background is clouds reflected in the lake. Lots of smallish flowers are out. Even a few stray Columbine.
