I think both are bad ideas in most situations.12ersRule wrote:Thanks for the flag tips, Tallgrass.
Interesting that it's okay to kill a living/breathing wolverine which there are so few, yet treating a discarded flag badly is some kind of unspeakable act against humanity.

Re: National Flag Day
mikemalik,
Did you take the flag with you that day after the tragic Muslim act of terror, or did you just happen to have an American flag with you on that day?

Indeed, I do like flags. I believe Flag Day is about our own flag, so I'll keep it American but with a twist. This was on Snowmass Mountain in 2013.

I was up there in that pic on the 10-year anniversary 09/11/2011 and not the day of 09/11/2001.Sean Nunn wrote:Did you take the flag with you that day...

Yeah, my bad. I didn't read the date carefully.mikemalick wrote:I was up there in that pic on the 10-year anniversary 09/11/2011 and not the day of 09/11/2001.Sean Nunn wrote:Did you take the flag with you that day...

Also, after looking at my post, I was not trying to be inflammatory towards peace loving Muslims, of whom there are many. I guess it is just frustrating to me that, 15 years after 9/11, we are still seeing acts of terror perpetrated on US soil and around the world.

The flag had been flown over a forward operating base in the Middle East.
